Purchasing Procedure
The customer intending to purchase an Italpreziosi investment gold product, not Italpreziosi and/or investment gold coins pursuant to art. 1 paragraph 1 par. Law 7/2000, must proceed as follows:
Telephone procedure
The first step consists of the customer registering by filling in the “KYC” (“Know Your Customer”) form provided by Italpreziosi and to be returned to it with a copy of the identity card and tax code. The Italpreziosi operator then creates the customer profile and carries out compliance checks. Registration is only necessary for a first purchase.
Once the first phase has been completed, the price of the desired product(s) is set by telephone through a dedicated operator. On confirming the order, you will receive a summary by e-mail with the pertinent documentation attached: "General Conditions of Sale" (hereinafter GCS), "Privacy Policy" and "Order Confirmation." The email also indicates the IBAN code to which the bank transfer must be made and the shipping address selected. Upon receipt of the aforementioned documents signed by the customer and credited to our current account, product shipment is arranged within the terms provided for by the GCS or the customer is notified of the availability for collection on site. There is also the possibility of keeping the metal in our insured warehouse.
From the moment the purchase price of the products of interest is set, the price remains the same regardless of future price fluctuations until the order is fulfilled.
On-line procedure
The on-line procedure starts with the addition of the desired product(s) in the cart. Following the insertion of your data and the confirmation of the GCS and Privacy Policy, which takes place by affixing the so-called "flag" or check mark, the order is confirmed by e-mail containing the summary of the products, the IBAN code on which to make the bank transfer and the shipping address selected. For orders with a value of less than €3,000, it is possible to pay by card via the Axepta payment method.
Upon the first order as a new customer, copies of an identity card, tax code and KYC are required (in the case of an order over €15,000).
Once the credit has been received in our current account, the pertinent receipt is immediately communicated and the shipment carried out within the terms provided for by the GCS. Alternatively, an appointment can be made for collection at our office.
It is not possible to purchase quantities exceeding 1 kg of weight in gold (or 30 kg in the case of Silver) in this way.*
PRICE-SETTING
During the phone call or on the website, the purchase price for the products of interest is set and remains the same regardless of future price fluctuations until the order is fulfilled.
PAYMENT
The customer pays the amount indicated on the Purchase Order Confirmation to the Italpreziosi SPA bank account indicated therein, according to the timing indicated in the GCS.
DISPATCHING THE ORDER
The products are dispatched upon receipt of the bank transfer to the Italpreziosi SPA account and the documents relating to the signed order. If there is no immediate availability, Italpreziosi SPA reserves a time of 10 working days to process the order.
SHIPMENT
Shipment of the purchased products is carried out by courier or insured value carrier. Delivery can also be made to banks or safety deposit boxes if indicated by the customer when entering order data.
The shipment takes place according to the timing provided for in the contract (GCS).
SHIPPING FEES
Italpreziosi uses an insured standard courier for orders worth less than €3,000, costing around €18, except for islands or remote places. For higher amounts, use an insured value carrier, costing about €60, except for islands or remote places. The cost is calculated automatically in the online shop by entering the postcode of the shipping location. In the telephone procedure, the operator indicates the exact cost.
ORDER CANCELLATION
Italpreziosi SPA reserves the right to cancel the order if it does not receive the signed order confirmation within 7 days. Italpreziosi SPA reserves the right to cancel the order if it does not receive payment for it within 7 days of receiving the signed order confirmation.
Orders of more than one kilogram of weight
* For orders over 1 kg, the only mode available is by telephone.
During the phone call, the purchase price for the product of interest is set. This is purely indicative to determine the amount of the deposit to be paid into our bank account to reserve the order. The down payment corresponds to 10% of the total estimated amount. If you are a new customer, you can register the profile as for a normal sale. Upon receipt of the bank transfer, we immediately contact the customer to set the final price. During the call, the purchase price of the products already agreed is set. This remains the same regardless of future price fluctuations until the order is fulfilled.
PAYMENT
The customer makes the payment of the amount indicated on the Purchase Order Confirmation; the amount will consist of the balance between the products purchased and the deposit previously paid. The Italpreziosi SPA bank account on which payment must be made is indicated in the Purchase Order Confirmation.
